Our popular The Scream was played twice, 10 years apart, during his reign. Norway, which was the host of the Olympic games in 1994, wanted to exhibit the painting The Scream in Oslo’s National Gallery. The painting was then moved to the floor of the gallery. Although many people stated that this would be a very dangerous idea, considering the possibility of the painting being stolen, officials said security was sufficient.

It turned out that there were two men who appeared on the security camera after the painting was stolen. The thieves left a note in the area where they took the painting. “Thanks for the poor security.” As can be understood from the written note, it seems that the thieves took a cynical attitude in response to this behavior of the authorities.

Rejecting the ransom letter sent, the authorities agreed with the detectives. Thereupon, the police pretended to be a buyer. The criminal record of thieves arrested in this way is also not clean beforehand.
