It is not known how many characters come to mind when you think of Star Wars characters, but the number of characters in all Star Wars movies shot until 2016 is exactly 21,647! Probably at least a thousand more characters have been added since the last movies.
For over forty years, some Star Wars characters have been loved by people, while some Star Wars characters have been hated. We grew up with them, we cried at the deaths of some, laughed at their jokes, idolized many of them, despised some, and now we come to the characters who make us feel these feelings. We have brought together 40 of the most memorable Star Wars characters for you. Are you ready to get to know the Star Wars universe closely? Lets start…
1) Han Solo (Harrison Ford) – Rebel General
The first lines that come to mind when Han Solo is mentioned are: “I love you” and “I know”. Solo is the main character in the original trilogy and a minor character in the sequel trilogy in the Star Wars universe. Han Solo might be the most attractive of all Star Wars characters, and of course, Harrison Ford, who brought him to life. He might not have been the chosen one, but he was the person we all wanted to be. Han Solo with style existed in the gray area of good and evil, proving that we can all do the right thing eventually when the choice is made.
2) Yoda (Frank Oz) – Jedi Master
When the name of Yoda, one of the most well-known Star Wars characters, comes to mind, these lines come to mind: “Do or don’t. No trials here.” Yoda is one of the main protagonists of the second and third films of the original trilogy, as well as the prequel trilogy. Like many good mentors, Yoda guided his students by giving them important life lessons. The tiny Jedi master remains one of the most remarkable non-human characters ever created.
Lucas and his team did a great job making sure Yoda was seen in blood rather than a computer creation, and as real as Luke. He created a warm father-son relationship that was so important between the two characters. Yoda trained Luke and later assisted him in Luke’s struggle.
3) Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) – Dark Sith Lord
One of the first names that come to mind when it comes to Star Wars characters is Dart Vader. The most iconic villain of all time: his looks are creepy, his voice is chilling, his words are evil. But it was his actions that made Darth a part of our childhood nightmares. So why is this bad guy loved? Because movies are full of space pilots, princesses, blonde heroes, robot sidekicks, and wise old wizards, but there’s only one Darth Vader. Darth Vader is animated and voiced by Hayden Christensen, David Prowse, Bob Anderson and Spencer Wilding.
Vader, who is actually Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, surrenders himself to the darkness. He rarely loses his temper and is very controlled.
