Famous neurologist and writer Oliver Sacks, who died at the age of 82 due to cancer in 2015, left behind 13 works that will be read, questioned, and pondered over, such as “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat: And Other Clinical Tales Sacks”, “Hallucinations”, “My Periodic Table” and “The Mind’s Eye”. In a speech he gave shortly after his cancer diagnosis, he said:

“I can’t pretend I’m not afraid. But my predominant feeling is gratitude. I loved and was loved. I have been given much, and I have given much in return. I read, and traveled, and thought, and wrote. I have had a relationship with the world, an extraordinary relationship that writers and readers have.”
