People with this disorder believe that their success is due to other factors and luck, and they describe themselves as a fraud.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">The syndrome was first defined by psychologist Suzanne Imes in 1978, and it was underlined that the most important feature of the syndrome was based on the person&#8217;s self-perceptions. In other words, the person has a tendency to see himself as someone he is not.<\/div>\n<div class=\"nImage coverImage\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ceotudent.com\/wp-content\/images\/post\/user-799\/iuutzl.jpg\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText \">The syndrome starts with intense concerns about performance, closing one&#8217;s perception to the outside world and all realities, turning to himself completely, and gradually begins to make negative and cruel judgments such as &#8220;you <i>will never be enough&#8221;,<\/i> <i>&#8220;this is not your success, you were just lucky&#8221;<\/i> .<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">One of the common features of people with this disorder is that they actually have tangible achievements in life. In other words, it is more likely to be found in people who have had a success in the past, who are perfectionist, anxious, and always chasing the best, rather than those who have never had any success.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">One of the biggest causes of the syndrome is the anxiety of being in the wrong place. At this point, if the person is working for a reward or success that he does not like or does not feel like, he may feel inadequate because he cannot internalize his success. People with the syndrome avoid speaking in public, going on stage, and answering questions.
