After dozens of drafts, wasted time, and cups of coffee, things slowly started to come out.

I suggest that you read the things I will tell in this series as if you were listening to a friend or as if you were listening to a white collar person. Because it would not be wrong to describe the items listed below as a small collection of things that happened to me in my short six-month business life.

It took me a while to realize that this was a serious problem as I took firm steps towards becoming a chronic “insomnia” patient. As soon as the day-to-day tiredness and fatigue started to occur throughout the week, I realized how to tidy up my life.

It wasn’t hard to find out why I had gotten used to a sleepless life. I spend 9 hours a day doing work in front of the computer, and when I come home, I find myself in front of the computer again to watch something and distract myself.

Let me watch something after dinner, and watch this video, I wonder how glass bottles are produced, Tesla’s race with other cars, etc. Wasting time with a lot of unnecessary things like this has become my biggest hobby lately. It was too late when I found myself sleeping at 1-2 am and waking up at 6 am.

Of course, it’s not just about computers. Problems in your social life, family issues, anything that bothers you at work may be triggering it.

Let’s come to the thing that I had the most difficulty and that upset me; Daylight Savings Time. At best, if you are one of those who work from 9 am to 5 pm, you are a bit more lucky. However, if you are someone who works from 8 am to 6 pm like me, the winter months can be your worst nightmare.

As if you can’t find the sun when you wake up in the morning, the sun has already set when you leave work. Even if you don’t notice much at first, this situation causes you to feel tired, sluggish and unhappy all the time. I hope I won’t prolong the matter further by saying that it will be fixed in the future.

I know it will be very cliché and most of us will not apply it, but here are the little things that I have applied in the last 2 months and that I have arranged my life, even if it is a little bit about sleep:

► Have a sleep pattern of at least 7-8 hours.
► Make sure to use f.lux on your phone and computer.
► Assuming that almost everyone uses a smartphone, activate the ‘do not disturb’ feature after a certain time and minimize your contact with the phone.
► Get into the habit of reading before going to bed.
► The last and most popular stereotype is to reduce caffeine consumption, especially during the 5-6 hours before bedtime.

As hard as sleep has made my life difficult, I’ve learned to deal with it. In the next chapters, I will be explaining my struggle with other obstacles that make the life of the white collar difficult.

Today I am starting a small series of articles that I have been trying to write for a long time but have not been able to write.
