Believe me, I can tell you that most of them have similar problems: I&#8217;ve seen resumes that are too long, too boring, difficult to read, and with lots of typos.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">A few years ago I came across a resume that shocked me.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">To be honest, the resume I saw was the best I&#8217;ve seen in 20 years. It didn&#8217;t contain any cheats. Many candidates spend their time obsessively trying to find a cool font, there is no need. It owes this integrity to the fact that there is no lack of information. When I looked at the resume, I saw a whole timeline. What employers really want to know is whether the other candidate can deliver measurable results and is above average. This person gave exactly what was asked.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">Detailing your responsibilities with your impressive achievements always puts you ahead.<\/div>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1787826683754973\" data-ad-slot=\"1498948880\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<div class=\"line nText\"><b>For example:<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">\u2022 Instead of \u201cExpanded operations to international markets\u201d use \u201cExpanded operations to eight new countries in Latin America\u201d.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">\u2022 Instead of &#8220;managing the sales and marketing team,&#8221; use the phrase &#8220;Leading the sales and marketing team and resulting 15 percent annual growth.&#8221;<\/div>\n<p><amp-ad width=\"100vw\" height=\"320\" type=\"adsense\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1787826683754973\" data-ad-slot=\"9068969645\" data-auto-format=\"rspv\" data-full-width=\"\"><\/p>\n<div overflow=\"\"><\/div>\n<p><\/amp-ad><\/p>\n<div class=\"line nHR\">\n<hr>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">\n<h2>4) He stuck to the truth.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"nImage\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ceotudent.com\/wp-content\/images\/post\/user-799\/kykfdv.jpg\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">There were no inconsistencies in the resume. Everything was believable and reassuring that no figures were exaggerated.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">Better still, the person had links to the LinkedIn page on their resume and their professional website, which included a portfolio of their work. This is a big step towards reaching the truth for me.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">Tell the truth, period.<\/div>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1787826683754973\" data-ad-slot=\"1498948880\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<div class=\"line nText\">While great achievements and well-known company names give you an edge, be careful with this: Employers run a reference check and if you&#8217;re found out to be lying, it&#8217;s game over.<\/div>\n<p><amp-ad width=\"100vw\" height=\"320\" type=\"adsense\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1787826683754973\" data-ad-slot=\"9068969645\" data-auto-format=\"rspv\" data-full-width=\"\"><\/p>\n<div overflow=\"\"><\/div>\n<p><\/amp-ad><\/p>\n<div class=\"line nHR\">\n<hr>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">\n<h2>5) No stereotypical claims were made.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"nImage\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ceotudent.com\/wp-content\/images\/post\/user-799\/7u3lny.jpg\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">He was far from general and high-level assertions such as &#8220;creative&#8221;, &#8220;hard worker&#8221;, &#8220;result oriented&#8221;, &#8220;excellent communicator&#8221; or my favorite &#8220;team player&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div class=\"line nText\">Many of these clich\u00e9 terms will make the recruiter roll their eyes for a second.
